Head of Growth — Founding Hire
Role Overview
If you're a digital marketer who has sensed that the job is changing under your feet — that AI is quietly eating the parts you used to get paid for — and you've been actively pushing yourself to become something new, read on.
We're not hiring for yesterday's digital marketing role. We're hiring for what it's becoming: a growth operator who runs strategy and judgment, and directs a team of humans and AI agents to do the rest.
You don't need a perfect CV. You need the right trajectory.
We're building a growing portfolio of online products and SaaS tools. Some are already live with paying customers; others are on their way to becoming AI-operable in the near term. What we don't yet have is a real growth function.
That's the seat you'd take.
This is a founding role. You'll set the growth strategy, build the stack, decide what humans do, what AI agents do, and what we outsource. You'll report directly to the founder and have real ownership — not "marketing manager" scope, but "you own whether our products grow" scope.
This is a founding role with real scope and real ownership. We don't care whether you've done SaaS growth before. We care whether you're hungry, curious, and willing to build something new instead of clinging to a playbook that's getting outdated. Experience level is open — if you're a sharp mid-level digital marketer with the right trajectory, we want to hear from you. If you're senior and already doing this, even better.
What You Will Own
Key Responsibilities
Own the funnel across products — acquisition, activation, conversion, retention, expansion. Define what we measure, set the targets, move them
Build positioning and narrative for each product — who it's for, why it wins, what we say, what we don't. This is the human work that cannot be handed off
Talk to customers constantly — sit in on support, read tickets, hop on calls. Form a real point of view on what users actually need
Design and run experiments — decide what's worth testing, read results honestly, kill what doesn't work
Architect a human + AI team — direct a small team of humans plus an expanding stack of AI agents handling content production, ad variants, lifecycle email, competitor tracking, reporting, lead enrichment, and outreach
Run channels and partners — paid, SEO, content, community, partnerships. Decide where to play, bring in contractors when needed, keep the whole thing coherent
Tie marketing to revenue — work closely with product and the founder to connect what you do to business outcomes that matter
Requirements
You think clearly and write well — everything downstream flows from how you frame things
You have taste — you can look at an AI-generated output and know when it's generic garbage vs. when it's good
You're comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage chaos
You understand numbers — funnel math, conversion rates, basic unit economics. Or you're eager to learn
You see AI as a team member, not a tool to help write captions faster
You're ready to own outcomes, not just activities
Nice to Have
Experience in SaaS or product-led growth
Background in running paid acquisition or SEO at scale
Familiarity with AI agent workflows and automation tools
Experience managing contractors or small teams
Understanding of unit economics and subscription metrics
Who You Are
Started using ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools seriously in your own work
Noticed that a lot of what you were taught to do can now be done in minutes by a prompt
Begun asking yourself what the next version of this job looks like
Started experimenting — maybe building workflows, trying new tools, reading about AI agents, thinking about SaaS and product growth
Success Metrics
Products are growing — measurable improvement in acquisition, activation, and retention
A working growth stack exists — humans, AI agents, and tools operating as a system
Positioning is clear and differentiated across products
Experiments are running regularly with honest reads on results
The founder has full visibility into what's working and what's not
Revenue impact is trackable and growing
How to Apply
Skip cover letters. Instead, send us these three things — they're what we actually read:
A short note on a marketing or growth problem you've worked on — what was the situation, what did you do, what happened, and what would you do differently today?
One concrete example of how you've used AI to do something meaningfully better or faster than you would have done it the traditional way. Be specific — which tool, what setup, what outcome.
Your CV or LinkedIn.
