What You Will Own

Product execution from planning through release for a team of 3–5 developers
Daily and weekly reporting on progress, blockers, risks, and team output
Code quality across the team — reviews, standards, and testing coordination
Team performance management — ensuring every developer is productive and accountable
Technical decisions across the JavaScript/TypeScript stack

Key Responsibilities

Organise and assign work — break features into clear tasks, assign to the right people, set priorities
Manage team performance — track individual output, identify issues early, keep everyone productive
Report daily and weekly — progress updates, blockers, risks, metrics — leadership should never have to ask
Lead the JavaScript stack — be the team's go-to person for technical decisions across the JS/TS codebase
Review all code (human and AI-generated) for correctness and quality before it ships
Coordinate testing — ensure every feature works before release
Own product quality — if it ships broken, it's your responsibility
Communicate proactively — surface problems before they escalate
Drive agentic workflows — help the team adopt AI-assisted development practices as we evolve

Requirements

Proven ability to organise work, manage people, and deliver on time
Strong reporting skills — you document progress, track metrics, and keep leadership informed
Experience coordinating a small team or managing project delivery
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript expertise — you lead the stack, not just work in it
Deep experience with Next.js, React, NestJS or Express, PostgreSQL, Git
Able to pick up unfamiliar codebases and new technologies quickly
Experience with AI dev tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor) is a plus
Interest in agentic app development and AI-powered workflows
