Designer — Brand + Product Marketing
Role Overview
You're a designer who has watched AI tools go from novelty to essential in about two years. You've probably used Midjourney, tried Figma's AI features, maybe played with v0 or similar. You've noticed that AI is great at "an image" and still pretty bad at "a coherent brand."
That gap is where your job lives. Taste, systems thinking, and knowing when a computer-generated output is "close enough" vs. "no, this is off" — that's the work.
We're building a portfolio of products that all need to feel like ours. Not generic. Not AI-slop. Not agency-cookie-cutter. That only happens if one person is holding the thread — building the brand systems, setting the visual standards, and making sure every touchpoint (landing pages, ads, social, product screens, email) feels intentional.
You'll own brand and marketing design across our products. You'll use AI aggressively for scale and iteration, but you'll be the taste layer that keeps everything from drifting into sameness.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain brand systems for each product — type, color, spacing, voice, visual language
Design landing pages, ads, social creative, email templates, pitch decks — with the whole team, not in isolation
Direct AI tools (Midjourney, Figma AI, Canva AI, etc.) for variants, iteration, and production work
Partner with Performance on ad creative that actually converts
Partner with Content on visual storytelling and editorial design
Build templates and systems so the rest of the team (and AI agents) can produce on-brand output without you being a bottleneck
Own the quality bar for anything that ships with a visual in it
Requirements
2+ years of design experience — brand, marketing, product, or a mix
A portfolio that shows taste, not just skill — you can tell good work from bad, and you can explain why
Already using AI tools in your actual workflow — you've formed opinions about what they're good at and where they fall short
Comfortable in Figma as a given — comfortable with speed over perfection when it matters
You care about the whole system, not just the artifact — you think about how templates, components, and patterns compound
You can take input from non-designers without being defensive, and you can push back when something is wrong
Nice to Have
Experience building brand systems or design systems from scratch
Background in SaaS or product marketing design
Motion design or video editing skills
Familiarity with front-end implementation (CSS, Tailwind, component libraries)
Experience with AI image generation workflows at scale
Success Metrics
Products have a coherent, intentional visual identity — not generic, not AI-slop
Templates and systems exist so the team can produce on-brand output without bottlenecks
Ad and landing page creative is converting — not just looking pretty
AI tools are integrated into the design workflow for speed without sacrificing quality
The quality bar is clear and maintained across all touchpoints
Design turnaround is fast — the team isn't waiting on you
